The unique feature here is that a flat-growing adeno-ca of the resorptive grade grows under the overlying rectal squamous mucosa (ectoderm), palpable but not visible.
If the tumor under the rectal mucosa undergoes tuberculous-caseous neurotic degradation, then we have a submucosal abscess. These abscesses are usually considered and referred to as so-called hemorrhoids.
