In the cerebral cortex, there is the motor and sensory cortex center. In the sensory cortex center, which controls the outer skin, we have a parallel loss of function (sensory paralysis). In the healing phase, this numbness turns into pain (see outer skin diagram). We find these sensory disorders very often in MS patients who also have a motor conflict ongoing.
