The hyperthyroidism arises in the active phase of the conflict “one was too slow to get the good morsel” (right lobe) or “one was too slow to get rid of the bad morsel” (left lobe). The over-functioning makes you faster in real life and can thus solve the conflict. The biological sense is therefore the over-function in the active phase.
