Cachexia is emaciation. If the conflict cannot be resolved, one remains in permanent sympathetic emaciation. One has cold extremities, hardly any appetite, difficulty in falling asleep and sleeping through. At some point the battery is empty and you die of emaciation. But it is also possible to emaciate from protein loss during a tuberculous healing phase (old brain SBSe). These cachectic patients have warm hands and have to eat, eat, eat to compensate for this loss of protein! To practice “therapeutic fasting” here to “starve out” the cancer is the equivalent of suicide.
