The blood vessels are made of connective tissue but have cross-striped and smooth muscle parts. They are NOT lined on the inside with squamous epithelium like for example the coronary arteries (gill duct offspring). The arteries have the theme of “not being able to walk”, while in the veins (smooth muscles) it is the “millstone on the leg” that keeps you back in life.
